Here we are on April 7, 2016 and I’m watching the sleet/snow/rain outside the window while the news on TV is reporting no let up in the near future. So I’ve decided today is the day to try to figure out the mysteries of creating websites and teach myself how to improve the very basic site set up to place hold our family domain name.
So far I’ve paid $13 with no idea of what exactly I paid for. Also a bit concerned that I may have somehow messed up the website I already have. I hope no one else will be able to see these ramblings until I have figured out what I’m doing. If you can see this you might want to go somewhere else because I am planning to make this about as boring as I can as I experiement with all the bits and pieces.
Right now it seems I’m writing a blog (really have no idea what I’m doing)
It seems I have successfully added an image – a lovely picture of the bleeding hearts in our garden last year.
Now I think MAYBE I’ve hooked this up to our tangoras family webpage at least the preview seems to show that. The “post format” seems to be “standard.” Now lets see what happens if I change it? Nothing that I can see!
And what in the world is a “slug” (that appears in the “more options”) Mine seems to be waiting-for-spring. Now I’ve been down several rabbit holes and I have no idea what I have been doing finding my way back here seems a fluke. When I choose preview I see things I want to change but haven’t yet found a way to do that so as I sign off of this first attempt I’m not sure I’ll even get back. Knowing that I’m going to copy this and save it to Word until tomorrow when I’ll try again.
